In 2024, the company's total emissions were approximately 3.077 billion kg CO2e, with Scope 1 at 38.2 million kg CO2e, Scope 2 (market-based) at 2.9 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 at 3.036 billion kg CO2e. For 2023, Konecranes reported total emissions of approximately 5.243 billion kg CO2e, including Scope 1 emissions of 37.3 million kg CO2e and Scope 2 (market-based) emissions of 3.3 million kg CO2e. Konecranes has set ambitious climate commitments, with Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) approved targets. The company commits to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 60% by 2030 from a 2019 base year. Additionally, Konecranes aims to reduce absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions from purchased goods and services and use of sold products by 50% within the same timeframe (2019-2030).
