Mondi, a UK-based paper and paper products company, reported total greenhouse gas emissions of approximately 7.41 billion kg CO2e in 2025. This includes about 1.76 billion kg CO2e from Scope 1 emissions, 360 million kg CO2e from Scope 2 (market-based), and 5.29 billion kg CO2e from Scope 3 emissions.

In 2024, Mondi's total emissions were approximately 4.58 billion kg CO2e, with around 1.54 billion kg CO2e from Scope 1, 320 million kg CO2e from Scope 2 (market-based), and 2.72 billion kg CO2e from Scope 3. For 2023, the company's total emissions were approximately 4.63 billion kg CO2e, comprising about 1.75 billion kg CO2e from Scope 1, 350 million kg CO2e from Scope 2 (market-based), and 2.53 billion kg CO2e from Scope 3.

Mondi has established Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) validated climate commitments. The company aims to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its value chain by 2050. Near-term targets include a 46.2% absolute reduction in Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 2030 from a 2019 baseline. Additionally, Mondi is committed to reducing its absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions from purchased goods and services and fuel- and energy-related activities by 27.5% by 2030, also from a 2019 baseline. For the long-term, Mondi commits to a 90% absolute reduction in Scope 1, 2, and specified Scope 3 GHG emissions by 2050 from a 2019 base year. These targets, covering Scope 1 and 2 emissions, are aligned with a 1.5°C warming scenario.
