Mondi, a UK-headquartered company in the Paper and paper products sector, reported total emissions of approximately 7.41 billion kg CO2e in 2025. This included Scope 1 emissions of approximately 1.76 billion kg CO2e, Scope 2 market-based emissions of approximately 360 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions of approximately 5.29 billion kg CO2e.

Looking back, Mondi's total emissions were approximately 4.58 billion kg CO2e in 2024, with Scope 1 at approximately 1.54 billion kg CO2e, Scope 2 market-based at approximately 320 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 at approximately 2.72 billion kg CO2e. In 2023, total emissions were approximately 4.63 billion kg CO2e, comprising Scope 1 emissions of approximately 1.75 billion kg CO2e, Scope 2 market-based emissions of approximately 350 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions of approximately 2.53 billion kg CO2e.

Mondi has set ambitious climate commitments, validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), to achieve net-zero GHG emissions across its value chain by 2050 from a 2019 base year. Near-term targets include reducing absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 46.2% by 2030, and absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions by 27.5% within the same timeframe, both from a 2019 base year. For the long-term, Mondi aims to reduce absolute Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions by 90% by 2050 from a 2019 base year. These targets cover energy and industrial emissions, with biogenic land-related emissions and removals from bioenergy feedstocks included in the target boundary. Mondi also commits to no deforestation across its primary deforestation-linked commodities by December 31, 2025.
