Mondi, a paper and paper products company headquartered in the UK, reported significant carbon emissions in its latest sustainability data. For the year 2025, Mondi's total reported emissions were approximately 7.41 billion kilograms of CO2e. This figure is broken down into Scope 1 emissions of about 1.76 billion kg CO2e, Scope 2 emissions of approximately 360 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions totalling around 5.29 billion kg CO2e. Scope 3 emissions are dominated by purchased goods and services, which accounted for approximately 3.01 billion kg CO2e.

In 2024, Mondi's total emissions were approximately 4.58 billion kg CO2e, comprising Scope 1 emissions of about 1.54 billion kg CO2e, Scope 2 emissions of around 320 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions of approximately 2.72 billion kg CO2e.

Mondi has set ambitious climate commitments, including a target to reduce Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 46.2% by 2030, using a 2019 baseline. Furthermore, they aim for a 90% reduction in absolute Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions by 2050, also from a 2019 baseline. The company has also committed to reaching net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its value chain by 2050. These targets are aligned with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
