Munters's total global carbon emissions for 2025 were approximately 42.9 billion kg CO2e, comprising 8 million kg CO2e in Scope 1 emissions, between 3 million kg CO2e (market-based) and 14 million kg CO2e (location-based) in Scope 2 emissions, and approximately 41.6 billion kg CO2e in Scope 3 emissions. For 2024, total emissions were approximately 19.9 billion kg CO2e, with Scope 1 at 7 million kg CO2e, Scope 2 between 4 million kg CO2e and 12 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 at approximately 19.6 billion kg CO2e. In 2023, total emissions were approximately 38.8 billion kg CO2e, with Scope 1 at 6 million kg CO2e, Scope 2 between 5 million kg CO2e and 11 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 at approximately 38.3 billion kg CO2e.

Munters has set ambitious climate targets. They aim to achieve net-zero emissions for Scope 1 and Scope 2 by 2030. Furthermore, they are committed to reducing absolute Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 42% by 2030, using 2023 as the base year. This target is validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and aligns with the 1.5°C warming scenario. Additionally, Munters has set a Scope 3 target to reduce emissions from the use of sold products (Category 11) by an average of 51.6% per unit sold by 2030, also based on a 2023 baseline.
