For the 2024 reporting year, Nextera Energy Partners LP reported total Scope 1 emissions of approximately 43.4 billion kg CO2e. Scope 2 emissions were approximately 25.6 million kg CO2e (market-based) and 24.6 million kg CO2e (location-based). Scope 3 emissions for 2024 totalled approximately 65.2 million kg CO2e, with business travel accounting for about 15 million kg CO2e and fuel and energy-related activities for approximately 50.2 million kg CO2e.

In the 2023 reporting year, total Scope 1 emissions were approximately 42.3 billion kg CO2e. Scope 2 emissions were about 16.3 million kg CO2e (market-based) and 15.9 million kg CO2e (location-based). Scope 3 emissions for 2023 were approximately 2.7 billion kg CO2e, including about 15.5 million kg CO2e for business travel and over 647.6 million kg CO2e for the use of sold products.

Nextera Energy Partners LP has established several climate-related targets. Notably, they aim to reduce their CO2 emissions rate by 70% by 2025 from an adjusted 2005 baseline, covering both Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions. They also plan to achieve a 25% reduction in absolute CO2 emissions by 2030. Further, the company has a long-term commitment to achieving "Real Zero" carbon emissions by 2045. Emissions data for 2018 shows Scope 1 and 2 emissions of approximately 42.1 billion kg CO2e, and for 2005, Scope 1 and 2 emissions were approximately 54.3 billion kg CO2e.
