Opet

Opet, a Petroleum Coke industry company headquartered in Turkey, reported its Scope 1 emissions for 2024 as 4,538,000 kg CO2e and Scope 2 emissions as 4,395,000 kg CO2e.

Looking back, in 2023, Opet's Scope 1 emissions were 3,674,000 kg CO2e, and Scope 2 emissions were 4,395,000 kg CO2e. In 2022, the company reported Scope 1 emissions of 3,818,000 kg CO2e and Scope 2 emissions of 3,950,000 kg CO2e. Opet has consistently disclosed Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions but has not disclosed Scope 3 emissions data for these years.

In 2018, Opet's total Scope 1 and 2 emissions were approximately 10,486,000 kg CO2e, comprising 6,077,000 kg CO2e for Scope 1 and 4,409,000 kg CO2e for Scope 2. In 2017, their combined Scope 1 and 2 emissions were about 10,593,000 kg CO2e, with Scope 1 at 6,363,000 kg CO2e and Scope 2 at 4,230,000 kg CO2e. For 2016, total Scope 1 and 2 emissions were around 8,605,000 kg CO2e (Scope 1: 4,534,000 kg CO2e, Scope 2: 4,071,000 kg CO2e). In 2015, these totalled about 7,362,000 kg CO2e (Scope 1: 3,638,000 kg CO2e, Scope 2: 3,724,000 kg CO2e), and in 2014, they were approximately 6,648,000 kg CO2e (Scope 1: 3,254,000 kg CO2e, Scope 2: 3,394,000 kg CO2e).

Opet has not published specific greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets, nor has it made commitments to initiatives such as the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) or The Climate Pledge.
