Teleflex

Teleflex, a US-based company in the Health and social work services sector, has disclosed its carbon emissions and ambitious climate commitments.

In 2024, Teleflex reported Scope 1 emissions of 16,256,000 kg CO2e and Scope 2 emissions of 53,983,000 kg CO2e. Full Scope 3 data for 2024 is not yet available, therefore a total emissions figure cannot be provided.

For 2023, Teleflex's total reported emissions were approximately 445,173,000 kg CO2e. This included Scope 1 emissions of 16,126,000 kg CO2e, Scope 2 emissions of 58,329,000 kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions of 370,718,000 kg CO2e. The Scope 3 breakdown for 2023 shows purchased goods and services accounted for 288,693,000 kg CO2e, upstream transportation and distribution for 59,296,000 kg CO2e, waste generated in operations for 1,999,000 kg CO2e, and business travel for 20,730,000 kg CO2e.

Looking back to 2019, Teleflex reported total emissions of approximately 478,018,000 kg CO2e, with Scope 1 at 15,877,000 kg CO2e, Scope 2 at 70,751,000 kg CO2e, and Scope 3 at 391,390,000 kg CO2e.

Teleflex has set Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) validated targets, committing to significant reductions. The company aims to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 54.6% by 2032, using a 2019 base year. Additionally, Teleflex is committed to reducing absolute Scope 3 emissions from purchased goods and services, upstream transportation and distribution, waste generated in operations, and business travel by 32.5% within the same timeframe.

Furthermore, Teleflex has a long-term goal of reaching net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its entire value chain by 2050. This includes an absolute reduction of Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions by 90% by 2050 from a 2019 base year. These targets indicate a strong commitment to decarbonisation.
