United Way Worldwide, a US-headquartered health and social work services organisation, reported total emissions of approximately 97.4 billion kg CO2e in 2022. This figure includes Scope 1 emissions of 418.2 million kg CO2e, Scope 2 market-based emissions of 298.5 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions of 97.353 billion kg CO2e. The vast majority of their 2022 Scope 3 emissions stemmed from the use of sold products, accounting for 89.902 billion kg CO2e, with purchased goods and services contributing 7.451 billion kg CO2e.

In the preceding year, 2021, United Way Worldwide's total emissions were approximately 100.9 billion kg CO2e. This comprised Scope 1 emissions of 403.3 million kg CO2e, Scope 2 market-based emissions of 407.7 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions of 100.456 billion kg CO2e.

For 2020, the organisation reported Scope 1 emissions of 343.5 million kg CO2e and Scope 2 market-based emissions of 497 million kg CO2e, without disclosing Scope 3 data for that year. Prior to this, in 2019, 2018, and 2017, United Way Worldwide reported total emissions of 977.2 million kg CO2e, 1.025 billion kg CO2e, and 1.009 billion kg CO2e respectively, without providing a breakdown by scope.

United Way Worldwide has not publicly disclosed any specific climate reduction targets, such as those validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), nor has it joined the Climate Pledge.
