Vantage Data Centers reported global Scope 1 emissions of approximately 4,371,000 kg CO2e and Scope 2 emissions of about 49,420,000 kg CO2e for 2023. This is an increase from 2022, when global Scope 1 emissions were around 4,142,000 kg CO2e and Scope 2 emissions were approximately 17,844,000 kg CO2e. In 2021, the company reported global Scope 1 emissions of approximately 5,200,000 kg CO2e and Scope 2 emissions of about 8,276,000 kg CO2e. Vantage Data Centers does not currently report on Scope 3 emissions.

Vantage Data Centers is committed to achieving net zero operational (Scope 1 and 2) carbon emissions by 2030 across its global portfolio. The company has also set a long-term goal to achieve net zero annual carbon emissions for Scope 1, 2, and 3 by 2040 or sooner, which includes neutralising any remaining emissions with additional, quantifiable, real, permanent, and socially beneficial offsets. Additionally, Vantage Data Centers aims to achieve absolute emissions reductions as close to zero as feasible by 2050, continuing to purchase high-quality carbon removal offsets for residual emissions to maintain net zero status. The company is a signatory to The Climate Pledge, which it signed in September 2022.
