EdgeConneX has set ambitious climate commitments. It is a signatory of The Climate Pledge, committing to net-zero carbon by 2040. The company also aims to become a carbon- and water-neutral and zero-waste data centre provider by 2030, utilising 100% renewable energy.

EdgeConneX International Cooperatief U.A. has committed to Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 50.3% by 2030 from a 2021 base year. Additionally, they aim to reduce Scope 3 emissions by 51.6% per megawatt of installed data centre capacity within the same timeframe. These targets are consistent with reductions required to limit global warming to 1.5°C.
