VKR Holding, a Danish construction company, reported its 2025 Scope 1 emissions as 29,528,000 kg CO2e, Scope 2 market-based emissions as 4,254,000 kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions as 2,166,559,000 kg CO2e.

Looking back, in 2024, the company's Scope 1 emissions were 28,066,000 kg CO2e, Scope 2 market-based emissions were 6,577,000 kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions were 2,272,311,000 kg CO2e. In 2023, Scope 1 emissions were 31,433,000 kg CO2e, Scope 2 market-based emissions were 7,877,000 kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions were 1,723,208,000 kg CO2e. For 2022, VKR Holding reported Scope 1 emissions of 33,203,000 kg CO2e and Scope 2 market-based emissions of 13,360,000 kg CO2e. VKR Holding has set several climate commitments. As part of its strategy, the ultimate goal is to reduce operational emissions (Scope 1 and 2) by 100% and halve value chain emissions (Scope 3) by 2030, with a baseline year of 2023. Specifically, the VELUX Group, a part of VKR Holding, aims to achieve a 100% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030 compared to a 2020 baseline. The DOVISTA Group, also within VKR Holding, is committed to a 42% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030, compared to a 2021 baseline. Furthermore, Altaterra (another part of the group) targets a 30% reduction in business-related air travel (Scope 1 and 2) between 2019 and 2030. Altaterra also aims for a 50% reduction in average non-utilised waste per produced window (Scope 3) between 2020 and 2030. VKR Holding also has a long-term goal to have reduced and removed the CO2 equivalent of its historical carbon emissions since 1941 by 2041.
