YKK AP Inc., a company in the fabricated metal products sector headquartered in Japan, has made significant commitments to reduce its carbon emissions. For the 2024 reporting year, the company reported total emissions of approximately 2.29 billion kg CO2e. This figure is comprised of approximately 95 million kg CO2e from Scope 1 emissions, 176 million kg CO2e from Scope 2 emissions, and approximately 2.02 billion kg CO2e from Scope 3 emissions. YKK AP Inc. has established ambitious reduction targets aligned with climate science. Through the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), the company commits to a 50% reduction in absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 2030, using 2013 as a baseline year.
