Greenly alternatives: 5 Scope 3 platforms compared (2026)

Five Greenly alternatives for enterprise Scope 3, compared on supplier coverage, the supplier conversation and who has verified the calculation.
Table of contents

Five Greenly alternatives for enterprise supply chains, compared on how much of a supplier list carries a figure before anyone is asked, what you take into the supplier conversation, and whose calculation is independently verified.

Greenly is a carbon management platform sold from SMB upward, and in September 2026 it announced the acquisition of Normative. Its sustainable procurement module matches suppliers against its database before any questionnaire is sent, and by Greenly's own figure that covers a quarter of the supplier base. Teams running large, global supply chains shortlist alternatives when they need a platform built for that scale, a plan for each supplier once the baseline exists, and a named verifier behind the calculation. This page ranks five alternatives on those three questions. For large enterprises, DitchCarbon is the strongest Greenly alternative, because a team can act on supplier emissions now without adding to suppliers' survey load: it starts from verified emissions data for over 2 million organisations, built on primary emissions data wherever it exists, so most of a large supplier list carries a supplier-specific (primary) figure before anyone is asked.

Vendor descriptions checked against each vendor's public pages on 30 October 2026 (Sweep, Persefoni and EcoVadis Carbon Action Manager on 28 October 2026).

Why do teams look for a Greenly alternative?

Greenly's procurement module matches the supplier list against its own database and sends pre-filled questionnaires where there is a gap; by Greenly's own figure, the match covers a quarter of the supplier base. DitchCarbon starts with most of a large list covered before anyone is asked, and the other reasons to look further are who the platform is built for, what you take into the supplier conversation, and who has checked the calculation.

  • It is packaged for smaller companies. Greenly's own pages describe a platform sold from SMB upward. Its entry plan, GHG Report Compliance, is listed for Singapore as "recommended for companies with less than 100 employees", at SGD 1,750 a year for up to three users; its pricing page lists SSO integration, custom API integration and additional entities as add-ons; and onboarding starts from an accounting export converted to CO2 with ADEME monetary factors. A large organisation's supply chain arrives as group structures across several ERPs, goes through security review, and has to land in the procurement systems already in use. DitchCarbon is built for that: in production on supply chains of over 100,000 suppliers, matched by entity resolution against DUNS, LEI and ISIN identifiers, delivered into any procurement, ERP or sourcing system, with SOC 2, SSO for customer users and monthly penetration testing.
  • It is absorbing Normative. Greenly announced its acquisition of Normative on 10 September 2026, saying Normative's methodology "now feeds directly into Greenly's AI-native platform". No integration timeline has been published, so an enterprise team choosing Greenly now is choosing a platform mid-integration. DitchCarbon is a specialist Scope 3 platform built for large organisations.
  • What you take into the supplier conversation. Greenly's climate survey grades supplier maturity from A to D, and its procurement page describes no reduction plan for the supplier. DitchCarbon scores every supplier from 0 to 100 against its industry benchmark, criterion by criterion with the source documents behind it, and hands you a plan for each supplier where action moves the footprint most, drawn from a named peer that has already made the cut.
  • Who has checked the calculation. Greenly describes its platform as audit-ready and, as checked on 30 October 2026, names no verifier for its calculation. DitchCarbon's audit-ready data comes with a Portal calculator verified to ISO 14064-3, limited assurance, by UL Solutions, renewed annually.

"Not described" means the vendor's public pages, as checked, do not describe the feature. It does not mean the feature cannot exist.

Two columns decide an enterprise shortlist: how much is covered before the first request, and what arrives for the supplier conversation afterwards. DitchCarbon is the only platform here that answers "most of the list" to the first and a written plan per supplier to the second.

How do the five Greenly alternatives compare?

1. DitchCarbon

DitchCarbon is the Scope 3 emissions platform for large organisations, in production on supply chains of over 100,000 suppliers, where most of the list is covered before anyone is asked. It starts from verified emissions data for over 2 million organisations, built on primary emissions data wherever it exists: published GHG inventories, and service and product-level carbon footprints, including CDP responses, EcoVadis scorecards, SBTi targets and data that suppliers declare on their own profiles. Your purchase data goes in as it is, with no cleanse and no integration project, and suppliers are matched by entity resolution against DUNS, LEI and ISIN identifiers, or from a company name alone where that is all the file holds. We calculate on product data, activity data and supplier-specific spend, and only when all else fails, industry-level spend, with the method recorded on every line, so the share of the baseline still on an industry factor is a number.

Where you need more detail, the request goes to the suppliers carrying the most emissions with the least disclosed, prepopulated with what each has already published. A supplier claims its profile for free and adds the energy, activity or product data you need. What it chooses to share, every other buyer who asks can read; a disclosure made privately for one client stays with that client. A recent deployment gained additional primary data from 30% of over 40,000 recipients.

Once the baseline is in, each supplier where action moves the footprint most comes with a goal for its category, an action plan drawn from a named peer, four questions to ask and a suggested contract clause, each peer action linked to its source document, and each supplier is forecast against the trajectory its own target requires. The emissions, the score and the source behind each figure arrive inside the procurement, ERP or sourcing system the team already runs, and security review is covered by SOC 2, SSO for customer users and monthly penetration testing, with the documents on the trust centre. The Portal calculator is verified to ISO 14064-3, limited assurance, by UL Solutions, renewed annually.

Best for: large enterprises that want to cut supply chain emissions this year without adding to their suppliers' survey load. AI reads what suppliers have already published, a team of 15 analysts checks it, and each supplier where action moves the footprint most comes with a reduction plan drawn from a named peer that has already made the cut.

2. Watershed

Watershed's supply chain module improves the footprint as suppliers respond: in its own words, responses "flow directly into your footprint", "replacing industry averages with primary data", with enrichment drawn from "tens of thousands of supplier disclosures". It ranks suppliers by emissions impact and climate maturity and sends requests through a guided portal. DitchCarbon already holds the figure for a supplier that has published, so it is in the baseline before a request goes out.

Best for: companies that put one platform for inventory and suppliers ahead of the load on suppliers: until a supplier replies through the portal, its line stays on an industry average.

3. Sweep

Sweep is a full-inventory carbon accounting platform with a supplier module: surveys and supplier portals, free accounts for surveyed suppliers, hotspot analysis by supplier and category, and joint reduction targets tracked supplier by supplier. It imports supplier data from CDP, EcoVadis, S&P and the SBTi. For a supplier outside those imports, the figure arrives with the survey response; DitchCarbon calculates every line by the most accurate method available before anyone is asked.

Best for: ESG teams that want one tool for every scope and broader ESG data, with supplier surveys run from it for the figures it cannot import.

4. Persefoni

Persefoni's route to supplier data is a free Persefoni Pro account, in which the supplier builds and shares its own footprint, and a Scope 3 Data Exchange it lists as coming soon. A supplier's figure arrives once that supplier has built it. DitchCarbon holds the figure the supplier has already published, so the inventory starts from it before any request goes out.

Best for: finance-led companies that run the inventory and disclosure on Persefoni and can wait for suppliers to build their own footprints.

5. EcoVadis Carbon Action Manager

EcoVadis Carbon Action Manager segments suppliers by carbon maturity and asks them to estimate their own emissions with its Carbon Estimator, or to share what they report, then tracks progress across 35+ metrics. Suppliers take part through EcoVadis's supplier plans, none of which is free, so the figure arrives once a supplier has paid and done the work. A DitchCarbon profile costs the supplier nothing, and where you already hold EcoVadis ratings, DitchCarbon shows them in the same table as each supplier's emissions, score and spend.

Best for: procurement teams already running EcoVadis ratings, who are content for suppliers to pay to take part.

What happens once the baseline exists?

A baseline earns its keep when it tells you which supplier to call and what to ask for. DitchCarbon ranks every supplier and Scope 3 category by the share of your total footprint that acting on it would move, with the tonnes behind it and a named peer already reducing at that rate, and opens each one into a plan with a goal, an action plan, four questions and a contract clause. Targets sit in a register with SBTi-validated targets separated from self-declared ones, and SBTi progress across the supply chain can be weighted by embodied emissions, spend or count. Each supplier is forecast against the trajectory its own target requires, rolled up to category or portfolio, so a category manager sees which suppliers are on course and which need the conversation.

Which Greenly alternatives are independently verified?

Greenly's site calls the platform audit-ready and, as checked on 30 October 2026, names no verifier or standard for its calculation. The DitchCarbon Portal calculator is verified to ISO 14064-3, limited assurance, by UL Solutions, renewed annually, and data capture is annually assured by UL Solutions as well, so the extraction and the method are both covered. DitchCarbon is the only specialist Scope 3 tool with third-party assurance of its calculation methodology. Ask any vendor on your shortlist for the declaration itself, with a named verifier and a named standard; ours is downloadable from the DitchCarbon trust centre.

What if you are the one being asked for emissions data?

Many companies comparing these platforms are also suppliers, answering a customer or investor who wants the same data from them. Claiming your DitchCarbon profile lets you answer once, and every buyer who asks reads the same answer, including work you have already done for CDP or an EcoVadis assessment. It is free and self-serve. Claim your profile.

How should you test a Greenly alternative on your own list?

Send each vendor the same sample of your supplier list and ask for two numbers: how many suppliers carry a supplier-specific figure before any request goes out, and what share of the resulting baseline still rests on an industry average. The first decides how many requests your suppliers receive; the second is what those requests still have to close. DitchCarbon shows both as numbers on the sample, because every line records the method that produced it. For a large supply chain, that makes DitchCarbon the Greenly alternative to shortlist first.

Run the test on your own list.

Send a sample of your supplier list and see how many suppliers already carry a figure before anyone is asked, and what share still rests on an industry average.
