Coillte's latest disclosed emissions data for 2025 shows approximately 24,790,000 kg CO2e in Scope 1 emissions and 31,758,000 kg CO2e in Scope 2 emissions.

Looking at previous years, in 2024, Coillte's Scope 1 emissions were approximately 22,600,000 kg CO2e and Scope 2 emissions were approximately 31,313,000 kg CO2e. In 2023, the company reported approximately 22,647,000 kg CO2e for Scope 1 and 35,522,000 kg CO2e for Scope 2. In 2022, Scope 1 emissions were around 22,473,000 kg CO2e and Scope 2 emissions were about 46,592,000 kg CO2e.

Coillte is committed to reducing its Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 51% by 2030, using 2018 as a baseline. The company has already achieved a 15% reduction in total Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions between 2018 and 2022. Additionally, under the "New Forestry Model" scenario, Coillte anticipates an estimated emission reduction of approximately 19 million tonnes CO2 over the period 2021 to 2100, with a smaller reduction of about 0.8 million tonnes CO2 by 2030. Coillte is committed to a long-term net-zero target for all scopes by 2050. The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) has confirmed Coillte's commitment to net-zero.
