Delfort

Delfort, an Austrian-headquartered company in the Paper and paper products industry, has disclosed its carbon emissions and committed to ambitious climate targets.

For 2025, Delfort projects its Scope 1 emissions to be 195,460,000 kg CO2e, market-based Scope 2 emissions to be 140,620,000 kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions to be 1,101,213,000 kg CO2e.

Looking at previous years, in 2024, Delfort reported total emissions of approximately 976,609,000 kg CO2e, with Scope 1 emissions at 162,630,000 kg CO2e, market-based Scope 2 emissions at 166,634,000 kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions at 647,344,000 kg CO2e. For 2023, Scope 1 emissions were 189,074,000 kg CO2e, market-based Scope 2 emissions were 207,199,000 kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions were 1,043,741,000 kg CO2e.

Delfort has set Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) validated targets. It aims to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 54.6% by 2033, using 2023 as a base year. Furthermore, Delfort commits to reducing absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions from purchased goods and services, fuel- and energy-related activities, upstream transportation and distribution, processing of sold products, and end-of-life treatment of sold products by 32.5% within the same timeframe.

The company is also committed to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its entire value chain by 2050. This long-term target includes reducing absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 90.0% by 2050, and absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions by 90.0% by 2050, both from a 2023 base year. Delfort is a BA1.5 member of the SBTi, indicating its commitment to limiting global warming to 1.5°C.
