Focusrite PLC, an audio and video equipment manufacturer based in Great Britain, has outlined a robust set of climate commitments. For the reporting year 2024, Focusrite reported a total of approximately 84.1 million kg CO2e. This figure comprises 158,000 kg CO2e for Scope 1 emissions, 129,000 kg CO2e for Scope 2 emissions, and a substantial 83.8 million kg CO2e for Scope 3 emissions.

In the preceding year, 2023, Focusrite's total emissions were approximately 92.7 million kg CO2e, with Scope 1 at 177,000 kg CO2e, Scope 2 at 257,000 kg CO2e, and Scope 3 at 92.3 million kg CO2e.

Looking back to 2022, the company's total emissions stood at about 116.1 million kg CO2e. Within this, Scope 1 emissions were approximately 223,000 kg CO2e, Scope 2 at 207,000 kg CO2e, and Scope 3 at 115.7 million kg CO2e.

Focusrite has made significant commitments through the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). They have committed to reducing absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 90.0% by FY2050 from a FY2021 base year. Furthermore, they aim to reduce Scope 3 GHG emissions by 97.0% per GBP value added within the same timeframe. For near-term targets, Focusrite pledges to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 55.9% by FY2031 from a FY2021 base year, alongside a 30.0% reduction in absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions within the same period. The company has also committed to achieving net-zero GHG emissions across its value chain by FY2050.

It is important to note that for the 2022 reporting year, Focusrite's Scope 3 emissions data included significant contributions from purchased goods and services (approximately 53.4 million kg CO2e) and the use of sold products (approximately 56.6 million kg CO2e). Missing data points for Scope 3, specifically "purchased goods and services," were noted for the 2023 and 2024 reporting years.
