Focusrite, a UK-based Audio and Video Equipment Manufacturing company, has set ambitious climate targets.

In their 2026 reporting year, Focusrite projects total emissions of approximately 75,580 metric tonnes CO2e. This includes Scope 1 emissions of about 146 metric tonnes CO2e, Scope 2 emissions of approximately 115 metric tonnes CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions of roughly 75,319 metric tonnes CO2e. Looking back, their reported total emissions were around 82,124 metric tonnes CO2e in 2025, 84,087 metric tonnes CO2e in 2024, 92,738 metric tonnes CO2e in 2023, 87,359 metric tonnes CO2e in 2022, and 94,068 metric tonnes CO2e in 2021. For 2020, Focusrite reported Scope 1 emissions of approximately 210 metric tonnes CO2e and Scope 2 emissions (location-based) of about 149 metric tonnes CO2e, with Scope 3 data not fully disclosed for that year.

Focusrite has committed to Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) validated targets. For the near-term, they aim to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 55.9% by fiscal year 2031, using a fiscal year 2021 baseline. Within the same timeframe, they also commit to reducing absolute Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions by 30.0%. For the long-term, Focusrite PLC commits to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across the entire value chain by fiscal year 2050. This includes a 90.0% reduction in absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by fiscal year 2050 from a fiscal year 2021 base year, and a 97.0% reduction in Scope 3 GHG emissions per GBP value added within the same period. They also have an overarching net-zero target to reduce total greenhouse gas emissions by 90% by approximately 2049, with a baseline no earlier than 2015, covering all direct and indirect emissions.

The company is working towards halving its electricity consumption by 2030 through increased renewable energy generation and energy efficiency measures. They also aim to reduce raw material emissions by 50% by 2030 through material innovation and supply chain optimisation. Focusrite transitioned to LCA-based carbon accounting in 2023, restating their Scope 3 emissions with more accurate, component-level data and resetting their baseline to 2021.
