Glovo

Glovo, a current subsidiary of Glovoapp23, S.L., reported total carbon emissions of approximately 262,547,710 kg CO2e in 2023. This figure comprises about 7,508,000 kg CO2e from Scope 1, approximately 5,836,000 kg CO2e from Scope 2, and around 250,161,330 kg CO2e from Scope 3 emissions.

Looking back, Glovo's total emissions in 2022 were approximately 168,097,410 kg CO2e, with Scope 1 at about 4,105,000 kg CO2e, Scope 2 at roughly 2,656,000 kg CO2e, and Scope 3 at around 161,336,410 kg CO2e. In 2021, total emissions were about 111,623,000 kg CO2e, including approximately 1,009,000 kg CO2e from Scope 2 and around 110,613,000 kg CO2e from Scope 3. For 2020, total emissions were approximately 84,634,000 kg CO2e, with Scope 2 at about 633,000 kg CO2e and Scope 3 at around 84,001,000 kg CO2e.

Glovo has set near-term Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) commitments, classified as 1.5°C compatible, with a target year of 2030. These targets, cascaded from Glovoapp23, S.L., include increasing annual sourcing of renewable electricity from 7% in 2020 to 100% by 2030. Additionally, Glovo commits to reducing absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions from upstream transportation and distribution, waste generated in operations, and the end-of-life treatment of sold products by 42.12% by 2030, using a 2020 base year. Glovo also signed The Climate Pledge on 30th August 2021.
