Rightmove plc, a UK-based real estate services company, reported total carbon emissions of approximately 7.05 million kg CO2e in 2024. This includes Scope 1 emissions of 128,560 kg CO2e, Scope 2 emissions (location-based) of 87,130 kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions of 6.92 million kg CO2e. Key contributors to Scope 3 emissions were purchased goods and services (4.84 million kg CO2e), capital goods (932,180 kg CO2e), and employee commute (680,740 kg CO2e).

Rightmove plc has set ambitious climate commitments, validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its value chain by 2040, relative to a 2020 base year.

Near-term targets include:

• A 47.6% absolute reduction in Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 2030, compared to the 2020 base year.
• A 42% absolute reduction in Scope 3 GHG emissions by 2030, compared to the 2020 base year.

Long-term targets include:

• A 90% absolute reduction in Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 2040, compared to the 2020 base year.
• A 90% absolute reduction in Scope 3 GHG emissions by 2040, compared to the 2020 base year.

Additionally, Rightmove plc aims for 75% of its company cars to be ultra-low emission by 2025 and 100% by 2028, with a commitment to replace them with electric vehicles or equivalent by 2030.
