This included about 9.76 million kg CO2e from Scope 1 emissions, 21.35 million kg CO2e from market-based Scope 2 emissions, and 158.36 million kg CO2e from Scope 3 emissions.

In 2024, the company's total emissions were approximately 116.08 million kg CO2e, with Scope 1 at about 7.83 million kg CO2e, market-based Scope 2 at approximately 14.24 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 at about 94.01 million kg CO2e. For 2023, total emissions were around 111.54 million kg CO2e, comprising about 9.80 million kg CO2e from Scope 1, approximately 13.71 million kg CO2e from market-based Scope 2, and around 88.03 million kg CO2e from Scope 3.

SES has committed to ambitious climate goals, including achieving Net Zero emissions by no later than 2050. The company has submitted Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) targets for validation, which include a commitment to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 50% by 2030 from a 2019 baseline. Furthermore, SES aims for 73% of its suppliers, by emissions covering purchased goods and services, capital goods, and upstream transportation and distribution, to have science-based targets by 2028.
