Common questions
Is there an official emission factor database in France?
Yes. ADEME's Base Empreinte is France's official public emission factor database, the successor to Base Carbone. It is free, in French, and you need an account to download the data.
Can a small business in France get help paying for its first carbon footprint?
Yes. Diag Décarbon'Action, from Bpifrance and ADEME, is a subsidised programme where an expert builds a first footprint, a plan and first actions with you. The firm pays part of the cost. Mission Transition Écologique finds other public grants.
Where can SMEs in France get a green loan?
Bpifrance's Prêt Vert (green loan) funds energy and ecological transition projects at SMEs. To find grants and a local adviser, answer a few questions on Mission Transition Écologique.
