The science based target initiative (SBTI) is the global benchmark for credible corporate climate action, defining how companies set greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets in line with climate science and the goals of the Paris Agreement. The DitchCarbon SBTI dataset turns that fragmented public information into a single structured and machine readable climate dataset you can query, join and report on.

Each record captures a company's near term and long term science based target status, its target classification and target year, any net zero commitment and net zero year, whether it has joined the Business Ambition for 1.5°C campaign, and the organisation's sector and operating region. Because every SBTI supplier is matched to the DitchCarbon emissions database, you can analyse SBTI status directly alongside Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 emissions data to connect climate commitments to measured carbon performance.
