Advantech, a company in the motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers industry headquartered in Taiwan, reported its 2024 emissions as follows: Scope 1 emissions were 3,565,039.5 kg CO2e, Scope 2 market-based emissions were 22,726,640.0 kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions were 750,942,401.1 kg CO2e.

Advantech has set several climate commitments and targets. The company aims to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its value chain by 2050. This long-term net-zero target includes a 90.0% absolute reduction in Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions by 2050, from a 2022 base year, according to targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

In the near term, Advantech, as validated by SBTi, commits to reducing absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions by 42.0% by 2030, from a 2022 base year. Additionally, the company commits to reducing Scope 3 GHG emissions from the use of sold products by 51.6% per TWD value added within the same timeframe. Earlier SBTi targets from 2019 and 2021 also include a commitment to reduce Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 60% per million NTD revenue by 2030 from a 2019 base year, and Scope 3 GHG emissions from the use of sold products by 49% per million NTD revenue by 2030 from a 2019 base year.
