Advantech

Advantech, headquartered in Taiwan within the motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers industry, has demonstrated climate commitments and provided emissions data up to 2024.

For 2024, Advantech reported Scope 1 emissions of approximately 3,565,040 kg CO2e, and Scope 2 (market-based) emissions of about 22,726,640 kg CO2e. Their Scope 3 emissions for the same year were approximately 750,942,401 kg CO2e. In 2023, the company's Scope 1 emissions were approximately 3,228,278 kg CO2e, and Scope 2 (market-based) emissions were around 26,638,341 kg CO2e. Prior to 2024, Advantech did not disclose Scope 3 emissions data.

Advantech has set comprehensive climate commitments and targets:

• Net-Zero Target: Advantech Co., Ltd. is committed to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its entire value chain by 2050, building from a 2022 base year.
• Near-Term SBTi Targets (1.5°C aligned):
  • Reduce absolute Scope 1 GHG emissions by 42.0% by 2030 from a 2022 base year.
  • Reduce absolute Scope 2 GHG emissions by 42.0% by 2030 from a 2022 base year.
  • Reduce Scope 3 GHG emissions from the use of sold products by 51.6% per TWD value added by 2030, also from a 2022 base year.
• Long-Term SBTi Targets (1.5°C aligned):
  • Reduce absolute Scope 1 GHG emissions by 90.0% by 2050 from a 2022 base year.
  • Reduce absolute Scope 2 GHG emissions by 90.0% by 2050 from a 2022 base year.
  • Reduce absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions by 90.0% by 2050 from a 2022 base year.
• Carbon Neutrality Goal: The company aims for carbon neutrality in Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 2050.
• Renewable Energy Targets: Advantech targets a 50% renewable energy usage rate for manufacturing centres in Taiwan and Kunshan, aiming for a 100% renewable energy usage rate across all global locations by 2040.
