Wistron, headquartered in Taiwan, reported estimated total carbon emissions of approximately 33.56 billion kg CO2e in 2025. This includes about 11.74 million kg CO2e from Scope 1, 241.79 million kg CO2e from Scope 2, and 33.31 billion kg CO2e from Scope 3 emissions. In 2024, their total emissions were approximately 16.97 billion kg CO2e, comprising 13.92 million kg CO2e from Scope 1, 236.66 million kg CO2e from Scope 2, and 16.72 billion kg CO2e from Scope 3. For 2023, Wistron reported total emissions of around 87.86 million kg CO2e, with 15.38 million kg CO2e from Scope 1, 72.48 million kg CO2e from market-based Scope 2, and 16.62 billion kg CO2e from Scope 3.

Wistron has set ambitious climate commitments validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). The company aims to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its value chain by 2050. Their near-term targets, with a 2022 baseline year, include reducing absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions by 90% by 2030. Additionally, Wistron commits to reducing absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions from purchased goods and services and use of sold products by 25% within the same timeframe. Long-term, from 2030 through 2050, Wistron aims to maintain at least a 90% absolute reduction in Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions, and a 90% reduction in absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions by 2050, both against a 2022 baseline. The company previously set a short-term goal to achieve an absolute GHG reduction of 21% by 2021 for Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, using 2016 as the baseline, and a medium-term goal to reduce absolute GHG emissions by 37.8% by 2025 for Scope 1 and Scope 2, also from a 2016 baseline.
