Alcatel Lucent Enterprise (ALE), headquartered in France, reported a total of approximately 197 million kg CO2e in 2024. This figure encompasses Scope 1 emissions totalling about 902,000 kg CO2e, Scope 2 emissions of approximately 4.26 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions amounting to roughly 191.9 million kg CO2e. ALE is committed to significant climate action, aiming for net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its value chain by 2050. In line with this, the company has set near-term targets, committing to a 42% reduction in absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 2030, using 2022 as a baseline year. Furthermore, ALE plans to achieve a 42% reduction in absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions within the same timeframe. For the long term, the company aims for a 90% reduction in absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 2050, and a corresponding 90% reduction in absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions, also from the 2022 baseline. These targets are aligned with limiting global warming to 1.5°C. Previous reporting indicates a 30% reduction in electricity consumption between 2016 and 2019. ALE has also previously committed to reducing its Scope 1 and 2 emissions to near zero by the mid-2020s.
