Aptiv, an Irish company in the sale, maintenance, and repair of motor vehicles, parts, and accessories, reported its 2025 carbon emissions as approximately 25,608,000 kg CO2e for Scope 1, 212,552,000 kg CO2e for Scope 2 (market-based), and 28,059,456,000 kg CO2e for Scope 3.

In 2024, Aptiv's Scope 1 emissions were about 15,995,000 kg CO2e, Scope 2 (market-based) emissions were approximately 230,264,000 kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions totalled around 24,026,846,000 kg CO2e. For 2023, Aptiv's total emissions were approximately 12,422,000,000 kg CO2e, comprising roughly 18,022,000 kg CO2e for Scope 1, 264,587,000 kg CO2e for Scope 2 (market-based), and 12,139,809,000 kg CO2e for Scope 3.

Aptiv has set ambitious climate commitments. The company is committed to reducing absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 100% by 2030, using a 2021 base year. Additionally, Aptiv aims to reduce absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions by 47.4% within the same timeframe, also from a 2021 base year. These near-term targets have been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and are classified as consistent with reductions required to keep warming to 1.5°C.

Further, Aptiv has a near-term target to reduce its Scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions by 25% by 2025, from a 2019 baseline. The company also states a long-term goal for carbon-neutral operations by 2050 and a broader goal to be carbon neutral by 2040 for its production processes, encompassing sourcing to disposal.
