Chia Chang Co., a furniture and other manufactured goods company headquartered in Taiwan, has disclosed its carbon emissions for recent reporting years. In 2024, the company reported total emissions of approximately 8.15 million kg CO2e. This comprised about 176,280 kg CO2e of Scope 1 emissions, approximately 1.21 million kg CO2e of Scope 2 emissions, and around 6.76 million kg CO2e of Scope 3 emissions. For the 2023 reporting year, Chia Chang Co. recorded total emissions of approximately 9.42 million kg CO2e. This included about 126,560 kg CO2e for Scope 1, approximately 1.32 million kg CO2e for Scope 2, and around 7.97 million kg CO2e for Scope 3. Looking back, total emissions in 2022 were approximately 5.12 million kg CO2e, with Scope 1 contributing about 141,560 kg CO2e, Scope 2 around 1.59 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 approximately 3.39 million kg CO2e. In 2021, total emissions were around 9.06 million kg CO2e (calculated from Scope 1, 2, and 3 data). Prior to that, in 2020, the company reported Scope 1 and 2 emissions totalling approximately 1.87 million kg CO2e, with Scope 3 data not specified for that year. Chia Chang Co. has established climate commitments, including a goal to achieve a 10% reduction in total emissions or a 15% relative reduction per PCS emissions equivalent by 2033. The company is also working towards a net-zero goal by 2050. These targets apply to Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions respectively.
