Deloitte Global, headquartered in the UK and operating in Other Management Consulting Services, reported total greenhouse gas emissions of approximately 1.76 billion kg CO2e in 2025. This figure encompasses Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions. Scope 1 emissions for 2025 were approximately 30.4 million kg CO2e, primarily from mobile and stationary combustion. Scope 2 emissions, predominantly from purchased electricity and heat, totalled around 13.2 million kg CO2e (market-based). Scope 3 emissions were the largest component, amounting to approximately 1.72 billion kg CO2e, with business travel and purchased goods and services being the most significant contributors. In 2024, Deloitte Global's total emissions were approximately 1.70 billion kg CO2e, with Scope 1 emissions at about 33.6 million kg CO2e, Scope 2 at roughly 16.9 million kg CO2e (market-based), and Scope 3 at approximately 1.65 billion kg CO2e. Deloitte has set ambitious climate targets, including a commitment to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 70% by 2030 from a 2019 base year. This target is aligned with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and aims to keep warming to 1.5°C. Furthermore, they are working towards a net-zero target across their value chain by 2040, with a commitment to reduce absolute Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions by 90% by 2040. They also aim for 67% of their suppliers, by emissions, to have set science-based targets by 2025. In addition, Deloitte commits to reducing Scope 3 GHG emissions from business travel by 55% per full-time equivalent (FTE) by 2030. Notably, their Scope 1 and 2 emissions in FY2023 decreased by 79% compared to their base year emissions, surpassing their SBTi goal.
