Deloitte Global, a leading professional services firm headquartered in GB, is committed to reducing its environmental impact. In 2025, the company reported total carbon emissions of approximately 1.76 billion kg CO2e. This figure comprises Scope 1 emissions of about 30.4 million kg CO2e, Scope 2 emissions of approximately 13.2 million kg CO2e (market-based), and Scope 3 emissions totalling around 1.72 billion kg CO2e.

The firm has set ambitious climate targets, aligned with Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) commitments. Deloitte aims to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 70% by FY2030, using FY2019 as a base year. They are progressing well towards this goal, having already achieved a 79% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions by FY2023 compared to their base year. Furthermore, Deloitte has a long-term goal to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its value chain by FY2040, with a commitment to reduce absolute Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions by 90% by FY2040.

In addition to operational emissions, Deloitte is engaging with its supply chain to drive further reductions. By FY2025, the company aims to have 67% of its suppliers, by emissions, set their own science-based targets. This encompasses suppliers involved in purchased goods and services, as well as business travel. The company also has a near-term target to reduce Scope 3 emissions from business travel by 55% per full-time equivalent (FTE) by 2030.
