Looking at historical data, Deloitte Global's total emissions were approximately 1.70 billion kg CO2e in 2024, and about 1.61 billion kg CO2e in 2023.

Deloitte Global has set ambitious climate commitments, with Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) validated targets that are cascaded from Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited. The company commits to reaching net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its value chain by FY2040.

Near-term targets include:

• Reducing absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 70% by FY2030 from a FY2019 base year. As of FY2023, the company reported exceeding this goal with a 79% decrease in Scope 1 and 2 emissions compared to the base year.
• Reducing Scope 3 GHG emissions from business travel by 55% per full-time equivalent (FTE) by FY2030, also from a FY2019 base year.
• Ensuring that 67% of its suppliers (by emissions covering purchased goods and services, and business travel) will have science-based targets by FY2025.

For long-term targets by FY2040 (from a FY2019 base year), Deloitte Global aims to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 90% and absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions by 90%.
