Fugro's most recent reported carbon emissions for 2024 are approximately 525,000,000 kg CO2e in total. This figure comprises approximately 211,000,000 kg CO2e of Scope 1 emissions and approximately 9,000,000 kg CO2e of Scope 2 emissions (market-based). Scope 3 emissions for 2024 were approximately 305,000,000 kg CO2e, with purchased goods and services accounting for the largest portion at approximately 133,000,000 kg CO2e. In 2023, Fugro reported total emissions of approximately 495,000,000 kg CO2e, with Scope 1 at approximately 211,000,000 kg CO2e and Scope 2 (market-based) at approximately 8,000,000 kg CO2e. Scope 3 emissions in 2023 were approximately 276,000,000 kg CO2e. Fugro has set a long-term commitment to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2035, covering Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions. This commitment was announced in February 2021 and reiterated in their 2021 sustainability reporting. Further to these commitments, Fugro has also set Science Based Targets (SBTi). They commit to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across the value chain by 2050. Looking further ahead to their long-term goals, Fugro commits to reduce absolute Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions by 90% by 2050, using 2022 as the base year. Additionally, Fugro has pledged that 60% of its suppliers, by spend, will have science-based targets by 2028.
