In 2023, Gleeds reported total carbon emissions of approximately 1,583,070 kg CO2e, comprising 48,810 kg CO2e from Scope 1, 4,720 kg CO2e from Scope 2, and a significant 16,088,450 kg CO2e from Scope 3 emissions. This reflects a decrease from 2022, where total emissions were approximately 16,601,000 kg CO2e, with Scope 1 emissions at 612,000 kg CO2e, Scope 2 at 853,000 kg CO2e, and Scope 3 at 15,136,000 kg CO2e.

Gleeds has set ambitious climate commitments, aiming for net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its value chain by FY2040, using FY2019 as the base year. The company has established near-term targets to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 46.2% by FY2030, alongside a similar reduction target for Scope 3 emissions, which includes purchased goods and services, business travel, and employee commuting.

Long-term, Gleeds is committed to a 90% reduction in Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions by FY2040. These targets are aligned with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and are designed to support the global effort to limit warming to 1.5°C.
