Gränges, headquartered in Sweden and operating in the Aluminium and aluminium products industry, reported total gross carbon emissions of approximately 4.19 billion kg CO2e in 2025. This total comprised around 266 million kg CO2e from Scope 1, approximately 174 million kg CO2e from market-based Scope 2, and about 3.75 billion kg CO2e from Scope 3 emissions.

In 2024, their total gross emissions were approximately 3.82 billion kg CO2e, with around 239 million kg CO2e from Scope 1, approximately 88 million kg CO2e from market-based Scope 2, and about 3.50 billion kg CO2e from Scope 3.

Looking back to 2023, Gränges's total gross carbon emissions were approximately 7.8 billion kg CO2e, including around 240 million kg CO2e from Scope 1, approximately 305 million kg CO2e from market-based Scope 2, and about 7.26 billion kg CO2e from Scope 3.

Gränges has set ambitious climate commitments, with all targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). The company aims to achieve net-zero GHG emissions across its entire value chain by 2040.

For near-term goals, Gränges commits to reducing absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 42% by 2030 from a 2021 base year. Additionally, they aim to reduce Scope 3 GHG emissions from purchased goods and services, fuel- and energy-related activities, upstream transportation and distribution, business travel, and downstream transportation and distribution by 57% per tonne packed product by 2030, also from a 2021 base year.

Their long-term targets include reducing absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 90% by 2040 from a 2021 base year. For Scope 3, the commitment is to reduce emissions from purchased goods and services, fuel- and energy-related activities, upstream transportation and distribution, business travel, and downstream transportation and distribution by 97% per tonne packed product by 2040, against the same 2021 baseline.
