Gruppo Cap has committed to robust climate targets. They aim to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 42% by 2030, using 2021 as a base year. Additionally, they are committed to reducing absolute Scope 3 emissions by 25% within the same timeframe. These Scope 3 reductions specifically cover purchased goods and services, fuel and energy-related activities, waste generated in operations, and use of sold products. These near-term targets have been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) as consistent with keeping global warming to 1.5°C.
