Hexatronic

Hexatronic, headquartered in Sweden and operating within the Semiconductor and Related Device Manufacturing industry, has reported its carbon emissions and climate commitments.

For the 2025 reporting year, Hexatronic's total carbon emissions amounted to approximately 424.3 million kg CO2e. This total encompasses Scope 1 emissions of about 2.3 million kg CO2e, Scope 2 emissions (market-based) of approximately 10.6 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions totalling roughly 411.4 million kg CO2e. Key contributors to Scope 3 emissions include purchased goods and services (approximately 363.1 million kg CO2e), upstream transportation and distribution (about 18.0 million kg CO2e), and downstream transportation and distribution (around 6.2 million kg CO2e).

In 2024, the company reported total emissions of approximately 399.9 million kg CO2e, with Scope 1 at about 2.0 million kg CO2e, Scope 2 (market-based) at approximately 10.9 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 at around 387.1 million kg CO2e.

For 2023, Hexatronic's total emissions were approximately 446.4 million kg CO2e, including Scope 1 emissions of about 1.8 million kg CO2e, Scope 2 (market-based) of approximately 16.3 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 at roughly 428.3 million kg CO2e.

Looking back to 2022, total emissions were approximately 516.1 million kg CO2e, with Scope 1 at about 1.9 million kg CO2e and Scope 2 (market-based) at approximately 16.9 million kg CO2e. Scope 3 emissions for 2022 were around 497.3 million kg CO2e.

In prior years, Hexatronic has disclosed Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions. For 2021, Scope 1 emissions were approximately 900,000 kg CO2e and Scope 2 emissions were about 6.6 million kg CO2e. For 2020, Scope 1 emissions were approximately 722,000 kg CO2e and Scope 2 emissions were around 5.8 million kg CO2e. In 2019, Scope 1 emissions were about 891,000 kg CO2e and Scope 2 emissions were approximately 3.7 million kg CO2e. For 2018, Scope 1 emissions were approximately 506,000 kg CO2e and Scope 2 emissions were about 4.6 million kg CO2e. In 2017, Scope 1 emissions were about 443,000 kg CO2e and Scope 2 emissions were approximately 4.2 million kg CO2e.

Hexatronic has established several climate commitments. The company aims to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 42% by 2030, using a 2022 baseline year. Furthermore, Hexatronic has committed to reducing Scope 3 GHG emissions from purchased goods and services and upstream transportation and distribution by 51.6% per million SEK value added by 2030, also from a 2022 base year. The company also aims to become a climate-neutral business within its own operations and to declare the climate footprint for most of its products by 2030.
