This figure encompasses Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, with Scope 3 being the largest contributor at about 375.2 million kg CO2e, primarily driven by the use of sold products and purchased goods and services.

For 2023, Infinera's total emissions were approximately 431.1 million kg CO2e. Scope 3 emissions accounted for the majority, around 385.6 million kg CO2e.

Infinera is committed to significant emissions reductions. It has a target to achieve net-zero Scope 2 emissions by 2050. Furthermore, Infinera has set Science Based Targets (SBTi) aiming to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 85% by 2030, using 2020 as the base year.
