Iqe's reported carbon emissions

Iqe's commitment to environmental sustainability is reflected in its comprehensive climate targets and emissions reporting. In 2024, the company reported a total of approximately 19.15 million kg CO2e. This figure comprises Scope 1 emissions totalling approximately 3.46 million kg CO2e, and Scope 2 emissions amounting to approximately 14.33 million kg CO2e. Additionally, Scope 3 emissions included approximately 0.52 million kg CO2e from upstream transportation and distribution. In the preceding year, 2023, Iqe's total emissions were approximately 19.60 million kg CO2e, with Scope 1 at about 2.76 million kg CO2e and Scope 2 at approximately 15.07 million kg CO2e. Iqe has established ambitious Science Based Targets (SBTi) aligned with a 1.5°C warming pathway. The company has committed to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its value chain by 2050. As part of its near-term goals, Iqe aims to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 42% by 2030, using 2021 as the baseline year. Furthermore, Iqe is working towards a 55% reduction in absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions from fuel- and energy-related activities by 2030, also from a 2021 baseline. Looking towards the long term, Iqe plans to achieve a 90% reduction in absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 2050 and a 90% reduction in absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions across various categories, including purchased goods and services, capital goods, fuel- and energy-related activities, and processing of sold products, within the same timeframe. Iqe is also encouraging its supply chain to align with climate goals, with commitments for 85% of its suppliers by emissions (covering purchased goods and services) to have science-based targets by 2028, and 60% of its customers by revenue (covering processing of sold products) to also adopt science-based targets by 2028.
