Leonardo S.p.a., an Italian air transport services company, reported total carbon emissions of approximately 5.87 billion kg CO2e in 2025. This includes 185.26 million kg CO2e from Scope 1, 53.09 million kg CO2e from Scope 2 (market-based), and 5.63 billion kg CO2e from Scope 3.

Looking back, Leonardo's total emissions were about 5.41 billion kg CO2e in 2024 and 6.05 billion kg CO2e in 2023.

Leonardo has set several climate commitments, including near-term Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) validated targets:

• A 53% absolute reduction in Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 2030, compared to a 2020 base year.
• A commitment that 58% of its suppliers, by emissions covering Scope 3 categories 1 (purchased goods and services) and 2 (capital goods), will have science-based targets by 2028.
• A 52% reduction in Scope 3 GHG emissions from fuel- and energy-related activities, upstream transportation and distribution, waste generated in operations, business travel, employee commuting, upstream leased assets, and use of sold products, per flight hour equivalent by 2030 from a 2020 base year.

Additionally, Leonardo UK has committed to achieving climate neutrality for Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030 and across the entire value chain by 2050. This includes a target to reduce CO2 emissions by 40% for Scope 1 and 2 by 2025, compared to 2018 levels. Leonardo also aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 across all scopes.
