Mazda Motor's climate commitments and carbon emissions data are outlined below.

Carbon Emissions: In 2025, Mazda Motor reported total global emissions of approximately 62.98 billion kg CO2e. This included Scope 1 emissions of approximately 119 million kg CO2e, Scope 2 emissions (market-based) of approximately 776 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions of approximately 62.08 billion kg CO2e. The largest contributor to Scope 3 emissions was the use of sold products, accounting for approximately 57.57 billion kg CO2e.

For 2024, total global emissions were approximately 60.98 billion kg CO2e, comprising Scope 1 emissions of approximately 112 million kg CO2e, Scope 2 emissions (market-based) of approximately 815 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions of approximately 60.05 billion kg CO2e.

Historical data shows that in 2023, total global emissions were approximately 31.39 billion kg CO2e, with Scope 1 emissions at approximately 113 million kg CO2e, Scope 2 emissions (market-based) at approximately 754 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions at approximately 30.52 billion kg CO2e.

Climate Commitments: Mazda Motor is committed to achieving carbon neutrality across its entire supply chain by 2050. As an interim milestone, the company aims for carbon neutrality in its global plants by 2035.

Specific reduction targets include:

• Reducing CO2 emissions from factories and operating sites in Japan by 69% from the FY March 2014 level by FY March 2031 (Scope 1 and Scope 2).
• Reducing Mazda's non-consolidated CO2 emissions by 27% and further by 46% or more compared to FY March 2014, with a long-term goal of carbon neutrality at Mazda's global factories and across the entire supply chain by 2050 (all scopes).
