For the year 2024, Nabtesco recorded total emissions of approximately 1.11 billion kg CO2e. This figure comprises 4.17 million kg CO2e for Scope 1, 34.76 million kg CO2e for Scope 2, and a substantial 1.07 billion kg CO2e for Scope 3. The most significant contributor within Scope 3 was purchased goods and services, accounting for about 745.90 million kg CO2e.

In 2023, Nabtesco's total emissions were approximately 1.12 billion kg CO2e, with Scope 1 at 4.93 million kg CO2e, Scope 2 at 38.50 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 at 1.07 billion kg CO2e.

Nabtesco is committed to substantial greenhouse gas emission reductions. The company has set long-term targets to reduce global CO2 emissions by 63% by FY2030 and achieve net-zero emissions by FY2050, both relative to a FY2015 baseline. These targets are aligned with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and are recognised as meeting the 1.5°C pathway. As of FY2023, the cumulative reduction achieved was 21%, indicating progress towards these goals.

Further demonstrating its commitment, Nabtesco aims to reduce Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 63% by 2030 and achieve 100% reduction by 2050, both based on a 2015 baseline. Additionally, the company is working to engage its supply chain, with a commitment to have the top 70% of suppliers (by purchase value) set their own GHG reduction targets by 2025, aiming for these suppliers to adopt science-based targets by 2030.
