NCAB, a company in the electrical machinery and apparatus sector headquartered in Sweden, has reported its carbon emissions data. In 2025, NCAB's total emissions were approximately 105.7 million kg CO2e. This figure comprises Scope 1 emissions of about 394,000 kg CO2e, Scope 2 emissions (market-based) of approximately 235,000 kg CO2e, and substantial Scope 3 emissions totalling about 105 million kg CO2e. The largest contributor within Scope 3 for 2025 was purchased goods and services, accounting for approximately 86.5 million kg CO2e, followed by upstream transportation and distribution at about 17.5 million kg CO2e.

In 2024, NCAB's total emissions stood at approximately 103.4 million kg CO2e. This included Scope 1 emissions of about 278,000 kg CO2e, Scope 2 emissions (market-based) of approximately 225,000 kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions of about 102.9 million kg CO2e. Purchased goods and services were again the primary driver of Scope 3 emissions, estimated at 82.5 million kg CO2e, with upstream transportation and distribution contributing about 18.6 million kg CO2e.

NCAB has set ambitious climate targets. The company aims to achieve net zero emissions in Scope 1 and Scope 2 by 2030. As part of this commitment, NCAB is working towards having all new company cars be fossil-free by 2025. Furthermore, for Scope 2 emissions, NCAB plans for at least 50% of its offices and owned warehouses to exclusively use renewable energy by 2025, with a target of 100% by 2030.

Earlier reported emissions include approximately 116.3 million kg CO2e in 2023, with Scope 1 at about 244,000 kg CO2e and Scope 2 (market-based) at approximately 319,000 kg CO2e. In 2022, total emissions were around 107.9 million kg CO2e, with Scope 1 at about 490,000 kg CO2e and Scope 2 (market-based) at approximately 363,000 kg CO2e. In 2021, total emissions were approximately 92.4 million kg CO2e, with Scope 1 at about 175,000 kg CO2e and Scope 2 (market-based) at approximately 390,000 kg CO2e. For 2019 and 2018, total emissions were reported as approximately 10.6 million kg CO2e and 11.8 million kg CO2e respectively, with limited scope breakdowns provided. For 2017, Scope 1 emissions were about 113,000 kg CO2e. Emissions for 2016 and 2015 are also available with Scope 1 details.
