Emissions Performance:

• 2024: Netease reported total emissions of approximately 269,045,000 kg CO2e. This comprised about 9,430,000 kg CO2e from Scope 1, approximately 50,237,000 kg CO2e from Scope 2, and around 209,378,000 kg CO2e from Scope 3.
• 2023: Total emissions for 2023 were approximately 321,849,000 kg CO2e, including 11,479,000 kg CO2e (Scope 1), 35,724,000 kg CO2e (Scope 2), and 274,645,000 kg CO2e (Scope 3).
• 2022: The company's total emissions stood at approximately 327,178,000 kg CO2e, with Scope 1 accounting for 11,987,000 kg CO2e, Scope 2 for 41,131,000 kg CO2e, and Scope 3 for 274,060,000 kg CO2e.
• 2021: In 2021, Netease reported total emissions of approximately 312,574,000 kg CO2e, comprising 6,855,000 kg CO2e (Scope 1), 32,213,000 kg CO2e (Scope 2), and 273,506,000 kg CO2e (Scope 3).

Climate Commitments and Reduction Targets:

Netease has set ambitious near-term reduction targets. The company aims to achieve a 50% reduction in its Scope 1 emissions by 2025, measured against 2020 levels.
