Rina's climate commitments, cascaded from its ultimate parent RINA S.p.A., include a net-zero greenhouse gas emissions target across its entire value chain by FY2050, validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). The company has set near-term and long-term targets. For the near term, Rina S.p.A. commits to an absolute reduction of Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 42% by FY2030 from a FY2023 base year. Additionally, it aims to increase active annual sourcing of renewable electricity from 67.2% in FY2023 to 100% by FY2030. Scope 3 GHG emissions are targeted for a 51.6% reduction per EUR value added by FY2030 from a FY2023 base year. For the long term, Rina S.p.A. commits to reducing absolute Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions by 90% by FY2050 from a FY2023 base year.
