Schulte Papier

Schulte Papier, headquartered in Germany and operating in the Paperboard Mills industry, has not publicly reported its carbon emissions data. However, the company has established climate commitments, aiming for climate neutrality by 2040. These commitments include interim targets to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions across its operations and value chain.

Specifically, Schulte Papier intends to reduce its absolute Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 63% by 2034, relative to a 2019 baseline. Furthermore, the company targets a 40% reduction in Scope 3.3 emissions (energy- and fuel-related activities) and a 63% reduction in Scope 3.11 emissions (use of sold fossil fuels to third parties) by 2034, also against the 2019 baseline. Schulte Papier also aims for 66% of its suppliers, by emissions volume, for purchased goods and services and capital goods (Scope 3.1 and 3.2), to have science-based emissions reduction targets by 2029. These targets are consistent with those of the broader DB Group and have been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
