The company is committed to achieving a 42% reduction in absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 2030, compared to a 2021 base year. Additionally, Vonovia aims to reduce absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions from specific categories – "Fuel and energy-related activities," "Use of sold products," and "Downstream leased assets" – by 25% by 2030, also from a 2021 baseline. These targets are aligned with a 1.5°C warming scenario. In terms of absolute emissions, Vonovia reported approximately 2.58 billion kg CO2e for Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions in 2025. Scope 3 emissions for the same year were approximately 904.89 million kg CO2e.
