Trend Micro reported Scope 2 emissions of 394,100 kg CO2e (location-based) and 146,200 kg CO2e (market-based) for 2024. Their Scope 3 emissions for the same year include approximately 7,294,800 kg CO2e from purchased goods and services, 229,600 kg CO2e from waste generated in operations, 182,200 kg CO2e from upstream transportation and distribution, 115,100 kg CO2e from employee commute, 104,400 kg CO2e from business travel, 65,300 kg CO2e from fuel and energy-related activities, and 15,500 kg CO2e from end-of-life treatment of sold products.

Trend Micro has committed to Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) approved targets. They aim to reduce combined Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions by 42% by 2030 from a 2021 base year, and to measure and reduce Scope 3 emissions. Furthermore, Trend Micro commits to a long-term target of reducing combined Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions by 90% by 2050 from a 2021 base year, and has committed to reaching net-zero by 2050. These targets were approved using a streamlined validation route exclusive to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
