Modulight's Carbon Footprint and Climate Action

Modulight, a Finnish manufacturer in the Medical, precision, and optical instruments industry, is actively working to reduce its environmental impact. In 2023, Modulight's total carbon emissions were approximately 724,800 kg CO2e. This included around 8,000 kg CO2e from Scope 1 emissions (direct emissions), approximately 116,000 kg CO2e from Scope 2 emissions (indirect emissions from purchased energy), and about 480,000 kg CO2e from Scope 3 emissions (other indirect emissions, with a significant portion from business travel).

Modulight has set a near-term climate target to reduce energy used for heating by 30% by 2025, specifically targeting their Scope 2 emissions. This commitment demonstrates their proactive approach to mitigating climate change within their operations.
