Murata Manufacturing, a Japanese electrical machinery and apparatus manufacturer, reported total Scope 1 and 2 emissions of approximately 938,000,000 kg CO2e and Scope 3 emissions of about 3,860,000,000 kg CO2e in 2025.

The company has set several climate commitments. Murata Manufacturing aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 for both Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions. Near-term targets include a 20% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions by fiscal year 2024, compared to a fiscal year 2019 baseline. Furthermore, Murata Manufacturing has committed to a 46% reduction in absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by fiscal year 2030, from a fiscal year 2019 base year.
