Long-term targets (by 2050 from a 2019 base year) aim for a 90% reduction in absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions and a 97% reduction in Scope 3 GHG from purchased goods and services, capital goods, business travel, and employee commuting per EUR value added.

Additionally, Alten aims to reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 10% from a 2022 base year by 2030 and is targeting 100% renewable electricity by 2030, contributing to Scope 2 reductions. The company also aims to reduce its Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions to near zero by the middle of this decade (2025).
