Nordex

This figure encompasses Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, with Scope 3 being the largest contributor at approximately 5.22 billion kg CO2e. Scope 1 emissions for 2025 were approximately 39.60 million kg CO2e, while Scope 2 emissions (market-based) were approximately 0.50 million kg CO2e. In the previous year, 2024, Nordex reported total emissions of approximately 4.70 billion kg CO2e, with Scope 3 emissions accounting for approximately 4.65 billion kg CO2e.

Nordex has established several climate commitments. The company has a near-term target to reduce the CO2 footprint of its turbines by 25% by 2025, with a base year of 2021. This target applies to both Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions. Furthermore, Nordex is committed to reaching net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its value chain by 2050. As part of this commitment, Nordex has set near-term targets to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 42% by 2030, and absolute Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions by 25% by 2030, both from a 2022 base year. Long-term, Nordex aims to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 90% by 2050 and absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions by 90% by 2050, also from a 2022 base year. These targets are recognised as being consistent with limiting warming to 1.5°C.
