Nutanix, a US-based computer and related services company, reported Scope 2 emissions of 18,626,000 kg CO2e and Scope 3 emissions across various categories for 2024. Scope 3 emissions included approximately 28,665,000 kg CO2e from purchased goods and services, 18,441,000 kg CO2e from business travel, and 10,135,000 kg CO2e from capital goods.

In 2023, Nutanix reported Scope 2 emissions of 16,871,000 kg CO2e. Key Scope 3 emissions for 2023 were approximately 28,829,000 kg CO2e from purchased goods and services, 10,507,000 kg CO2e from capital goods, and 10,007,000 kg CO2e from business travel.

For 2022, Nutanix's Scope 2 emissions were 14,798,000 kg CO2e. Significant Scope 3 emissions included 30,746,000 kg CO2e from purchased goods and services, 9,321,000 kg CO2e from capital goods, and 4,210,000 kg CO2e from business travel.

In 2021, Nutanix reported Scope 1 emissions of 330,000 kg CO2e, primarily from stationary combustion. Scope 2 emissions were 72,017,000 kg CO2e (market-based). Scope 3 emissions included approximately 45,980,000 kg CO2e from purchased goods and services, 14,225,000 kg CO2e from capital goods, and 6,023,000 kg CO2e from business travel.

Nutanix has set several climate commitments. The company aims to reduce its Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 60 per cent absolutely by 2025, using a 2020 baseline. Additionally, Nutanix intends to reduce its Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 50 per cent from a 2020 baseline by 2030. The company is also working towards reducing its Scope 1 and 2 emissions to near zero by the middle of the decade (2023-2025) by focusing on digital experiences for events, thus eliminating travel and accommodation needs.
