Plexus, a US-based electrical machinery and apparatus manufacturer, reported its total Scope 1, 2, and 3 carbon emissions for 2025 as approximately 411.3 million kg CO2e. This includes about 2.9 million kg CO2e from Scope 1 emissions, 2.1 million kg CO2e from Scope 2 emissions, and 407.2 million kg CO2e from Scope 3 emissions.

For 2024, Plexus's Scope 3 emissions were approximately 404.4 million kg CO2e. In 2023, its Scope 3 emissions were about 461.7 million kg CO2e, and in 2022, they were approximately 842.5 million kg CO2e.

Looking at Scope 1 and 2 emissions, Plexus had approximately 8.7 million kg CO2e in Scope 1 and 98.8 million kg CO2e in Scope 2 for 2021. In 2020, these figures were about 6.6 million kg CO2e for Scope 1 and 97.7 million kg CO2e for Scope 2.

Plexus is actively working to reduce its Scope 1 and 2 emissions, with a particular focus on decreasing purchased electricity consumption at its manufacturing sites. In fiscal year 2024, the company implemented over 40 energy-focused projects, leading to an absolute reduction of 6.4% in combined Scope 1 and 2 emissions compared to fiscal year 2023. This reduction effort includes equipment optimisation, replacement of significant energy users, and expansion of solar energy technology.
