Plexus, a US-based electrical machinery and apparatus manufacturer, reported total Scope 1 and 2 emissions of approximately 101.9 million kg CO2e in 2024. This comprised roughly 7.95 million kg CO2e from Scope 1 emissions and 93.98 million kg CO2e from Scope 2 emissions.

The company has demonstrated a commitment to reducing its carbon footprint, achieving a 6.4% absolute reduction in combined Scope 1 and 2 emissions in fiscal year 2024 compared to 2023. This reduction was driven by the implementation of over 40 energy-focused projects, including equipment optimisation, replacement of significant energy users, and expansion of solar energy technology, with a strong emphasis on lowering purchased electricity consumption at its manufacturing sites.

In 2023, Plexus's Scope 1 emissions were approximately 8.51 million kg CO2e and Scope 2 emissions were around 100.17 million kg CO2e. Looking back, in 2022, Scope 1 emissions were about 8.73 million kg CO2e and Scope 2 emissions were roughly 103.53 million kg CO2e. In 2021, Scope 1 emissions stood at approximately 8.7 million kg CO2e and Scope 2 emissions at around 98.82 million kg CO2e. In 2020, Scope 1 emissions were about 6.61 million kg CO2e and Scope 2 emissions were roughly 97.68 million kg CO2e.
