SFS, headquartered in Switzerland and operating in other business services, reported total carbon emissions of approximately 1.02 billion kg CO2e in 2025. This includes about 26.49 million kg CO2e from Scope 1, approximately 21.48 million kg CO2e from Scope 2 (market-based), and around 973.82 million kg CO2e from Scope 3.

Looking back, in 2024, SFS's total emissions were approximately 1.04 billion kg CO2e, with around 25.95 million kg CO2e from Scope 1, about 27.26 million kg CO2e from Scope 2 (market-based), and roughly 990.45 million kg CO2e from Scope 3. In 2023, total emissions were approximately 1.2 billion kg CO2e, comprising about 26.79 million kg CO2e from Scope 1, around 54.12 million kg CO2e from Scope 2 (market-based), and roughly 1.12 billion kg CO2e from Scope 3.

SFS has set ambitious climate commitments. The company aims to reduce absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions by 60% by 2030 from a 2023 base year. Additionally, SFS commits to reducing absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions from purchased goods and services, fuel- and energy-related activities, upstream transportation and distribution, waste generated in operations, business travel, employee commuting, downstream transportation and distribution, and investments by 25% within the same timeframe. For the long term, SFS Group commits to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its value chain by 2050, including a 90% reduction in absolute Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 GHG emissions by 2050 from a 2023 base year. These targets have been approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
