SFS, headquartered in Switzerland and operating in "Other business services", reported total greenhouse gas emissions of approximately 1.02 billion kg CO2e in 2025. This includes about 26.49 million kg CO2e from Scope 1 emissions, 21.48 million kg CO2e from Scope 2 emissions (market-based), and 973.82 million kg CO2e from Scope 3 emissions.

Looking back, in 2024, SFS's total emissions were approximately 1.04 billion kg CO2e, comprising 25.95 million kg CO2e (Scope 1), 27.26 million kg CO2e (Scope 2 market-based), and 990.45 million kg CO2e (Scope 3). In 2023, the total emissions were about 1.20 billion kg CO2e, with 26.79 million kg CO2e (Scope 1), 54.12 million kg CO2e (Scope 2 market-based), and 1.12 billion kg CO2e (Scope 3).

SFS has set ambitious climate commitments validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). The company aims to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its entire value chain by 2050. Near-term targets include reducing absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions by 60% by 2030, from a 2023 base year. Additionally, SFS commits to reducing absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions by 25% within the same timeframe, covering categories such as purchased goods and services, fuel and energy-related activities, and transportation. For long-term targets, SFS plans to reduce absolute Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions by 90% by 2050, from a 2023 base year.

Previously, SFS had an internal goal to reduce direct CO2 emissions (Scope 1 and Scope 2) by at least 90% by 2030, based on a 2020 baseline. For 2024, a specific target was to cut Scope 2 emissions by 55.3% compared to 2023.
