TCC Group Holdings, based in Taiwan, reported total emissions of approximately 32.8 billion kg CO2e in 2024. This includes Scope 1 emissions of approximately 39.8 billion kg CO2e, Scope 2 emissions (market-based) of around 1.49 billion kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions of roughly 2.52 billion kg CO2e.

Looking back, the company's total emissions were approximately 20.9 billion kg CO2e in 2023, about 25 billion kg CO2e in 2022, approximately 30.7 billion kg CO2e in 2021, and around 37.2 billion kg CO2e in 2020.

TCC Group Holdings has established several climate commitments. The company is committed to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050, with this target being officially approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) on 24 July 2024, aligning with a 1.5°C pathway.

Near-term targets include:

• An absolute reduction of 30% in Scope 1 emissions by 2030, from a 2020 baseline.
• An absolute reduction of 25% in Scope 2 emissions by 2030, from a 2020 baseline.
• A 23.9% reduction in Scope 1 carbon emission intensity per tonne of cementitious materials by 2030, from a 2016 base year.
• A 64.4% reduction in Scope 2 carbon emission intensity per tonne of cementitious materials by 2030, from a 2016 base year. This contributes to an overall 26.8% reduction in gross Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions per tonne of cementitious materials by 2030 from the same baseline.

Earlier SBTi targets, set in 2020, committed the company to reduce Scope 1 GHG emissions by 11% and Scope 2 GHG emissions by 32% per tonne of cementitious materials by 2025, from a 2016 base year. These earlier targets were classified as consistent with reductions required to keep warming to well-below 2°C. The more recent 2025 targets are classified as consistent with a 1.5°C pathway.
